I have already reported this terd.... but this guy needs to be shamed... i know that there are people that say that they will disco against ecm... PLAY THE DAMN GAME...

this guy is different though... [Redacted]

he's an ECM COMMANDO 2D... with streak... and he disconnected to avoid the death... you still get the death dumbass.... it still goes against your KDR... You could have jammed me and you would have been able to run the hell away or jammed me and fought me but no... you decided to disconnect... if you can't handle playing this game then don't... find a game like strawberry shortcakes pleasant paradise or something...

i have reported you and so has my entire four man lance... i hope that they ban your damn profile

Name and Shame threads are not allowed and are just as frown upon as the person who cheated you in-game.
If you have a problem with a player, send your complaints privately to support@mwomercs.com and let them deal with the issue.

Well ... since he still gets counted as a death then there is no big deal when he alt-F4s ... the penalty is still assigned he just saves about 5 seconds exiting the game early (especially in a Commando). However that assumes that he did in fact hit alt-f4. In the past few days I have had at least three crashes to desktop during games for whatever reason ... although perhaps unlikely and suspicious he may have had a crash to desktop. Alternatively, he may have had a parental crash ... parental unit walks up stairs to see what they are doing on the computer and they have to exit quickly. Unfortunately, there are a lot of reasons for folks to disconnect, and not all of them revolve around what is happening in the game.

So ... since disconnecting now makes no difference ... and because it is difficult to tell whether the disconnect was intentional or incidental ... although annoying, I don't think that there is much that can be done about it.

PGI has addressed the issue you even said so yourself.. sometimes people get ticked off about losing. It's funny you mention, "Your entire four man team"


The person you're describing is probably ticked off about being a really skilled solo PUG 'jus tryin to make the magic happen 'n meetin your ' four man team '. Hell if you're a PUG in this game it may was well be a roll of dice, which doesn't seem very fair to solo players who don't have.. pre-meditated murder.. as an option. Don't get me wrong a pre-made group doesn't always know what they're up against either but... it's different when you can balance out your team and designate skilled players at their natural roles. I can't tell you how many times I've just flat out been in the wrong 'mech at the wrong time, when that happens... doesn't seem fair or skilled I'll tell ya that much.

I suppose in the end it's just a game, these symptoms are from tactical warfare, and it's all just for kicks..

P.S. I can only imagine what would happen to this game if I could fill up all 8 player slots myself, I'd get so down and dirty I'd straight up break it... and several other talented pilots could say the same.

You cant force people to play the way YOU would like them to play.

I've gotten my *** handed to me many times this past weekend, but even when I was so lagged out my screen was framing all over the place I didnt drop out, i mostly blind fired and died pretty fast.

You know, the funny thing about this situation is that it explains how some people were getting away with the crazy kill ratios. I admit, mine sucked, especially because I only played closed beta for about 6 weeks before open beta started and I played only trial mechs, so in the first few weeks of open beta my K/D ratio was like .60 or something like that. I saw all these people posting their epeen stats of 12:1 and such and wondered how the heck they were getting away with it. Now I understand.

I used to alt-F4 because of cheesy ECM Ravens. There was a time 3 weeks ago where you'd see half the enemy team in them.

Now I just don't give a ****.

It was more of a protest thing and I wasn't so much concerned about the K/D, as I was about the crap nature of some of the things in this game. I know I'm a good player and so do you if you've faced me. I was hoping that people would complain like the OP so that the devs would have extra incentive to fix the lagshield as soon as possible.

If C-Bills were real currency and I was having to deal with all the real world issues of using an ejection seat... I'd get upset. I'd rage. I'd probably not be a Mechwarrior either ya know? So I'm glad it's only a game.

But I have a BSc (Hons) in Creative Swearing so I make use of that when bored.

Dude I have never discoed because I'm about to die. You are making an awful lot of assumptions and I don't appreciate it. Yeah I understand your hate for this kind of crap but you do not need to post it on the disscusion forums. Just report him.....

Funny thing about Cheesy 4 man Raven drops. Yesterday we ran into one. We stuck together and when the Ravens started to circle we massed fire on one at a time and before the game was done. we wrecked all the Ravens! Then the rest of the team followed and we won the game. So there is an in game tactic that WILL work against a murder of Ravens.

I see intentional disconnects pretty often, not crashes mind you buy people running to hide from a superior force and then overheating themselves to death or running out of bounds.

Lame, but it happens, nothing we can do about it until we get some sort of lobby system.
